$35/person* pays for "Show Room" rental & buffet dinner, tea, coffee, sodas. There will be a cash bar if you wish to drink beer, liquor, etc.
When you submit your money and are bringing someone, please also let us know the name of that person(s). And yes, we will have name tags for all (it helps with the memory or lack thereof).

Please note that we have not called any of the hotels to check on rates, except for the Courtyard by Marriott NW, 9409 Stonelake Blvd. (this hotel is in the same parking lot but at the opposite end), 512-502-8100; as of today (1-27-11), single occupancy is $109.95 (king), double occupancy is $119.95 for Sat., 6-25-11, check-in 3:00pm, check-out noon.

P.S. Why Dave & Busters? It's casual. Scholz was booked for that evening (this was our 1st choice- thank you Lisa); Cool River Cafe was too expensive; most of the restaurants close too early (at previous reunions, several of us visited out at the hotel pool into the late hours; although no pool, we will be able to do that at D&B's); and several of the restaurants did not have a private room or even a partial room they would be able to close off for us (Waterloo, Serranos, Jorges, Baby A's, Chuy's). Tim suggested D&B, so please make sure and thank him.

Why $35/person charge? In order to reserve a private room large enough for our group, they request you purchase a meal as you are not allowed to bring in your own food. This $35 price per person* includes the reservation for 6+ hours for the private room ($250 non-refundable), cost of the sit-down meal ($18.99/person), drinks- tea, coffee, sodas ($3.17/person), tax (8.25%) and gratuity (18%). We will have a few dollars left over from each person which we will use for a dessert, party favors, napkins, mail-outs to those that we are not able to reach by email, Facebook or by telephone. Any funds left over will be used for the next Reunion (40th), such as downpayment of room/hotel, memory book, etc. The funds are held in the 'MHS 76 Reunion' checking account with Public Employees Credit Union; two names are on the account - Barbara Wilks and Cathy Veldman Goyne. If you would like to see the bank statements, we would be happy to provide them to you. If you have any additional questions, please ask!
